Travel to Riverside
Airport
The local airport is Ontario, CA (ONT). It's mostly serviced by Southwest, American, United and Alaska. It's about a 25 minute ride to Riverside and you can catch an Uber/Lift to get to the Mission Inn. ONT is way better than LAX.
Train
You also can ride to downtown Riverside on the Metrolink train from downtown LA, Irvine, etc. You can walk to the Mission Inn from the downtown Riverside train station.
Hotel
We recommend that you stay at the Mission Inn, which is the conference location. Here is the link to book your room at the discounted rate (it says "Society for Political Mythology" and I cannot get them to correct that...). You can call the hotel directly and tell them you are with the "Society for Political Methodology" to get the discount. The room rates are $199/night at the conference rate, which is inclusive of the resort fee (which is hidden if you just look at rates on Travelocity). Included in the Mission Inn conference rate is reduced overnight self-parking at the rate of $10.00 per night per vehicle, along with complimentary guestroom internet access, and complimentary use of the fitness center, the eucalyptus steam room, and the business center. A lower cost option is the Raincross Hotel, which is about four blocks away from the Mission Inn and which is currently showing about $120/night, but there is limited availability and the conference does not have a block of rooms there.
